Bethany Miller is a community advocate, creative visionary, and founder associated with Impact Appalachia, an initiative focused on healing, empowerment, art, and human connection throughout the Appalachian region. Drawing from a life marked by hardship, survival, and resilience, she has dedicated herself to creating opportunities for recovery, wellness, and self-expression for others facing adversity.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bethany’s early life was shaped by instability and trauma, experiences that later fueled her passion for advocacy and transformation. Rather than allowing those challenges to define her, she turned them into a foundation for empathy, leadership, and creative outreach. Her work often centers on helping individuals rediscover purpose through art, spirituality, community engagement, and holistic healing.

Through Impact Appalachia, Bethany has explored initiatives involving recovery support, sustainable housing, tourism development, cultural preservation, and arts-based rehabilitation programs. She has also envisioned projects that connect Appalachian history, indigenous symbolism, wellness practices, and public art into spaces designed to inspire healing and unity. Among these efforts is her interest in preserving and revitalizing the historic Effigy Stone Serpent Mound site in Ashland, Kentucky, transforming it into a place of education, spirituality, creativity, and cultural reflection.

Bethany is also passionate about mentoring others and empowering marginalized communities, including individuals recovering from addiction and those transitioning from incarceration back into society. Her vision blends compassion with creativity, emphasizing that art, education, and connection can become powerful tools for personal and community transformation.

Known for her determination, authenticity, and imaginative spirit, Bethany continues to pursue projects that uplift others while sharing her own story of perseverance, growth, and hope.
